The production of bronze in Northern Greece in the archaic and classical periods: the case of Argilos

By means of the analysis of the chemical composition and isotopic ratios obtained by TOF-ICP-MS of bronze artefacts from Argilos, the thesis aims to draw a detailed portrait of the bronze industry during the Archaic and Classical periods in Greece. North. Thrace being a region rich in metalliferous deposits, such an analysis of the very numerous bronze artefacts of Argilos will make it possible to examine, among other things, questions of the accessibility and origin of raw resources, the sharing of metallurgical technologies, and the distribution of local aesthetics and finished products.
